How do you like to shop for seasons? Do you do a complete overhaul and buy more inexpensive, trendy items from places like Zara? Do you pick one or two classic, yet expensive pieces you’ll wear for years? Or some combination of the two? I really try to balance by not spending gobs of money on trends, but if you get into a trend on the front end (hi, OTK boots a few years ago), it can be really worthwhile to invest. A few trends from last spring and summer are back again – most notably off-the-shoulder tops – but here are a few that are newer and definitely on my radar. All of this is from the Shopbop sale, which is where I almost exclusively online shop! It’s the spend more, save more sale where you can save up to 25% off 🙂
It is the season (year?) of the statement earring, and I am all about it. As you know, I looooove a simple outfit of neutral colors with a big pop in my accessories. Whether it’s a bright stud or a huge earring or an unexpected necklace (or a red lip), it’s my favorite way to put a spin on something otherwise simple.
I pretty consistently pull from a select few items in my closet when I’m getting dressed. Whether it’s grabbing a few layers for a Saturday around town, or I’m getting dressed up for a fun dinner out, there are ten or so items per season that are my go-to pieces. A few span all seasons, but today I’m sharing my top ten winter staples that everyone needs in their closet!
