Last weekend, we were scrambling around trying to figure out what to do for Memorial Day at the very last minute. I don’t know how or why it snuck up on me (maybe because I spent the entire weekend cleaning/reorganizing my apartment), but it was Sunday afternoon and we had made zero plans. The one thing that’s been hard about Nashville is that it’s compleeeetely landlocked – making summer holidays a little bit difficult.
A few weeks ago, I had the chance to taste Bravazzi at their influencer dinner in Nashville. The very new hard Italian soda brand is introducing a whole new type of drink that you’re going to want to try this summer! This light and refreshing gluten-free, all-natural Italian hard soda is FREE of high fructose corn syrup – with about the same amount of alcohol as a light beer. Personally, I’m a big fan of the grapefruit flavor, but the lemon and blood orange were popular at the cookout too. (Note: I hear it’s great as a mixer, too – tequila + grapefruit would make a delicious Paloma!)
I have so many friends who don’t like beer and don’t want a sugary sweet drink for lake days or rooftop cookouts during the summer, and this is the answer to that problem! Plus, they’re super portable and easy to tote up the stairs or on the boat. Anyway, a Memorial Day cookout was the perfect way to have everyone try it, and as you can see, it was a huge hit!
The night ended with the group playing Love It or Hate It – our recent go-to game. Have you played this? One person names an item, food, category, etc. and the rest of the group goes around and says if they love or hate it. No lukewarm answers! When it comes back around, that person announces their answer – those who agree win, those who disagree lose. We find ourselves playing this all of the time because it’s so much fun with a group. People get heated (in the best way!) and it’s fun to see where people stand. Oftentimes, it shifts into either/or which is also fun (Moe’s or Chipotle? Grapefruit or Blood Orange? Top sheet or no top sheet?)
My personal favorite – for better quality food: McDonald’s or Burger King?
